The Secret Vintage Tea Party
I feel very lucky to live close to Liverpool, there is always so much going on, it’s full of creativity & culture and the people there are the friendliest you’ll ever meet – that’s a fact. It’s a modest city that hasn’t got too big for it’s boots and makes you feel very welcome. Don’t get me wrong, I love Manchester but sometimes I’m a bit overwhelmed by how big it is. Anyway, my life-long bezzie and bride-to-be lives in the Pool and she asked if I wanted to join her and the lovely Becci (one of my Happy Brides) at a secret vintage tea party last night in Liverpool. I say secret, the location was revealed the day before through the genius of social media!
The tea party was held at Alma de Cuba and hosted by the lovely Rebecca of Pretty Little Trio, a fab company that hires out vintage china for weddings. The mini cupcakes and cakepops were supplied by Laura’s Little Bakery – my first sample of Laura’s cakes and I was v v impressed – the raspberry cheesecake cupcakes were a taste sensation! We were given a glass of champagne on arrival and we had an unlimited supply of tea served in gorgeous vintage teapots and teacups – so lovely!
The fun didn’t end there! We were able to join in a cute craft workshop run by Button Boutique, making corsage hair clips. I wasn’t expecting this so it was a nice surprise and thought it was a lovely addition to the tea and cake. I learnt how to make something new and I was actually quite impressed with all our efforts! A great evening with some super lovely people, I’m hoping there will be another one soon.
