Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride
Being in the wedding industry, ok and being slightly obsessed with the prettiness of weddings, I’ve been following the Rock and Roll Bride blog for some time now – since about summer 2010 when I was asked to be bridesmaid for my lovely friend Nichola. It’s a fab blog, aimed towards the alternative bride who kind of wants their big day to be completely their way. Full of real weddings, inspirational shoots, DIY projects and all sorts of other rock and roll type wedding stuff.
I was so happy to see Nichola and Jay’s beautiful wedding featured on the Rock and Roll Bride blog yesterday – I felt proud of my friend’s for having achieved everything they wanted for their day – it wasn’t easy planning a wedding in the middle of a field, on a farm in the middle of nowhere – I mean, they had to hire a generator for electricity and port-a-loos too! They were very nice loos though, Glastonbury long drops they weren’t!
But I think these photos sum up the day perfectly – the hay bales, bunting, vintage china and everyone looks so happy like they were having the best time ever, because they were! Nichola and Jay’s wedding was the inspiration for my Garden Party range – country, rustic with a festival twist. I loved working on the stationery for this wedding – the save the dates, invitations, place names, favour tags, wooden signage, the famous Glastonbury inspired table plan and even the cake labels (see for yourself, the cake table was immense!) It’s great to see some of my work featured on the blog AND there is even a photo of my very own homemade rocky road! Yay!
Just looking at these photos brought back how amazing the day was, can we do it again this summer please? Xx
