Well it has been over a month since my last post (where does the time go!) so I’m just going to do a quick round up of my recent crafty projects!

Although wedding stationery is my number one love and what Paper Fudge is all about, it all started with handmade cards, I even used to call my little card empire – “Hardy Cards” (Hardy is my surname just in case you are wondering where that came from!). So I’ve been making a lot of general greeting cards recently to build up my stock for the upcoming Spring/Summer craft fairs and trying out some different designs including gorgeous tiny bunting and cute felt owls.

A couple of weeks ago I had a stall at Heaton Moor Market in Stockport. The craft fair runs alongside the Producer’s market on the first Saturday of every month. Although it was a quiet event I still made quite a few card sales and received some excellent feedback which is always a good thing!

I mentioned a couple of posts ago that one of my Happy Brides, who is also a lovely friend, was about to give birth. Well baby Pearl has now arrived and she is just the most beautiful little sweetheart! I made this personalised collage canvas for Pearl using a ‘cookies and cream’ colour scheme – baby girl creations don’t always have to be pink! The polka dot fabric is actually the tie backs from Pearl’s curtains so it goes perfectly in her nursery.

Baby Pearl’s canvas was based on this card I made for Oscar a couple of months ago – I love using felt and embroidery silks to make these hand stitched letters. Unique, personalised cards like this aren’t the sort of cards that will get thrown into the recycling box after a few weeks that’s for sure!
