Well I can’t quite believe that I’m sat here writing my first blog post for my lovely new website, that I can say I have my own wedding stationery company and that I now live in Manchester! What a crazy week it has been, I wouldn’t recommend moving house over the Christmas period. It kind of took away the magic of Christmas stressing over cardboard boxes and having to make do with no furniture, but my ever practical boyfriend thought it would make sense as he was off work anyway and wouldn’t have to take any extra days off! And to be fair, it does feel good to kick start the new year with my new job, new flat, new city etc…

So here I am, sat in my new, rather messy, craft room, listening to radio 2 (occasionally absolute 90s) with a giant Cath Kidston mug of tea and my laptop. After years of dreaming about working for myself, doing something I truly love, I have finally taken the plunge – leaving my job, leaving Doncaster (my hometown) and saying goodbye lots of lovely friends and family. Ok, it’s not a million miles away and here in Manchester I have my fantastic boyfriend, my bezzie just down the road in Liverpool and lots of wonderful opportunities and events to try and make Paper Fudge as successful as it can be! So with this adventure and all the weddings, hen doos, new babies and, dare I mention it, 30th Birthdays(!), I think 2012 is going to be a very good year indeed.

Oh yeah, and you know how people always say: “it always rains in Manchester”- well, it’s true.
