Day 2 of #marchmeetthemaker is ‘how you started’…I don’t really know where to begin with this (I’ll try and keep it short) I’ve always been super arty and crafty and I loved making cards for people. The first wedding invites I made were for my brother in 2003. I worked for 8 years designing children’s soft play areas and kept up with making cards and wedding stationery in my spare time. Then when I met this rather handsome manc, decided to leave my job, move to Manchester and start my business officially. It didn’t happen over night, I worked part time in Selfridges for 2 years to give me time to get established. I was able to stop working altogether in 2014 and (finally) became a full time Maker, yippee! As you can see, my style has changed soooo much from when I first started, I used to do a lot of handmade stuff which was very pretty and that but very time consuming (swipe for some early doodles). I still dabble a bit with fabric and lace but I love drawing so I’m very happy doing what I’m doing now! Wow, what an essay #bloodylovemyjob #lifestory #howistarted #handmade #weddingstationery #cards #christeninginvitations #weddinginvitations
