Beautiful Borneo – Chris & Nancy

On Wednesday 31^st October, I embarked on a rather epic journey from Manchester, all the way to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo. I am extremely lucky to have my big brother, Chris, living over there who happened to be getting married to Nancy, so along with my parent’s and aunty and uncle, we travelled out there to see him get married and benefit from the holiday of a lifetime.

We enjoyed 2 weeks of beautiful white sandy beaches, turquoise warm seas, delicious food, barbecues & beers, remote islands, jungle treks, the cutest orang-utans, happy family time, relaxing and all this in gorgeous Malaysian weather.

The wedding was absolutely perfect – a ceremony on the beach at sunset followed by drinking, dancing and eating under the stars and fairy lights with palm trees swaying in the breeze. I was honoured to be a bridesmaid for Chris and Nancy and although I even made the place names for the wedding, bringing them along in my suitcase.

I had the best 2 weeks of my life and I can’t wait to go back to Beautiful Borneo!
