Airy Fairy Cake Boutique

One of my favourite things in the whole world is going for tea and cake with friends, taking our time enjoying the experience and having a good chat whilst we do it. I thought I knew about most places in the Manchester area where I could do this but I recently discovered Airy Fairy Cake Boutique in Didsbury and it is the most beautiful cake shop I’ve had the pleasure of trying out!

The Boutique is a beautiful light, airy (fairy), welcoming shop with pretty polka dot and floral-y table cloths and when you walk in you’re hit with an amazing sweet, sugary smell of, well, cake. It happened to be the sunniest day of the year so far when I visited last week which made it all the more delightful! There was a good selection of cupcakes, layer cakes, tray bakes and loaf cakes and the tea and cake was served on lovely vintage china – perfect. They do all sorts of cake decorating classes and you can even hire out the shop for your own event. I’ve decided I’d like to move in there!
